Just deployed a brand new YouTube clip search engine. The idea is to allow searching through my clips by selecting the gear used to record them. It may still have some imperfections and I haven’t indexed all my videos yet, but it’s a good starting point. Check it out and let me know if you have any comments.
Message to fellow DIY-ers – if you have clip(s) on YouTube that you would like to make available through this search engine, please use the comment form below to get in touch with me so I can include them. To make a clip searchable by this engine, video description on YouTube must contain at least one line that describes which gear was used to record it. Each piece of gear must be listed in a separate line, like shown in the example below:
Pickup: DiMarzio Crunch Lab
Amplifier: AX84 4-4-0
Cabinet: Palmer PDI-09
Recorder: Boss Micro BR
As you can see, there have been some major design changes. I have replaced the “Unnamed” theme with a simpler, lighter theme called “Structured Theme”. Feel free to share any comments or suggestions.
Trivia: I used DIYLC to draw cables on the main logo.
Cheers,
Bane
Once again, I have upgraded my Squier Strat with a new bridge pickup, saddles and controls.

I finally moved all (or close to all) things from my old site to WordPress. If you need something on the old site you can use this link http://diy-fever.com/old.
Enjoy,
Bane
Welcome to the new DIY Fever! It’s been few years since the last major site change. As anything else on this site, the whole thing was done in DIY fashion – wrote everything in PHP myself. Over time it got pretty hard to maintain all that code and articles, so I decided to replace everything with WordPress. Much less stuff to worry about and it looks pretty cool. Yes, it is a bit generic but I’d rather do something better than PHP 🙂 Anyways, enjoy your stay!
Happy holidays,
Bane
